These past couple of months have been sweet for me as your momma as I watch you exit the baby/toddler phase and enter into the little boy/preschool stage. I have loved being able to fully communicate with you, to reason with you (as much reasoning as can be done with a preschooler) and to laugh with you about silly things. Your Gigi often reminds me that I prayed for a football player. There's not a doubt in my mind that the Lord answered that prayer.
You are 100% energy ALL THE TIME.You have a pain tolerance higher than anything I have ever seen. If you are crying, I KNOW you are hurt! Your favorite things to do is to either play basketball, play baseball or play tackle football (you are very clear that you are playing TACKLE football). I love that you love sports. You seriously live, eat, sleep and breath sports. You've told me your favorite is baseball.
You have a deep love for super heroes. It makes my heart swoon when I hear you "soaring" through the house with nothing on but a super hero mask, tighty whities and a cape. Makes me proud to be a boy mom, because really, what girl wouldn't love to be rescued every day of the week, or have someone to always have near to fight off the bad guys? ;)
I love when I walk out of my room with clothes on, even if it's sweat pants and you say "oh that looks so cute on you momma!" Or "you're so pretty momma." And you REALLY melt my heart when you pipe up from the back seat as we're driving and say "Momma?" And I reply "yes?" and you say "Momma I love you really much. All the way to the moon and back much." Melt. My. Momma. Heart.
Brayden I love you so much! Thank you for stretching me. Thank you for making me laugh and laughing with me. You are definitely one of the sweetest gifts the Lord has ever blessed me with, and I feel so honored to be able to call you son. Happy Birthday sweet boy!
