I'm not THAT old, am I?

Well, I went and did it. I went to my 10 year high school reunion. It wasn't near as awkward as I was expecting it to be. I guess I had just heard all of these horror stories about the cliques still being there, people not really saying much, and there not being much to talk about. Don't get me wrong, there were people that I (still) don't have much in common with, but we said our hello's and then went on our ways. It wasn't any more awkward than meeting someone for the first time, talking pleasantries and then moving on. And in reality, those conversations were probably few and far between. Most of the weekend was spent hugging necks I haven't seen in forever, and catching up with friends that I miss dearly.

Friday was the homecoming game for my alma matter, so we headed to the alumni reception. It was a bit overwhelming because it wasn't just our class, but ALL alums of the school. Lots of kids, lots of people. After a few hours standing on our feet, we decided to head down to the field to get some outdoor air. After another hour or so, we called it quits and headed home.

Taking a breather at the football game!

Saturday morning we had a family breakfast and tour of the school. After the tour of the school, we headed back to our friend's house for lunch, and the boys left for golf. I was exhausted, as was my friend Stephanie (she's due 5 days before me with baby boy #3), so we turned on the Razorback game in the background and talked the entire afternoon. It was glorious because we were both kid free. The house was so quiet you could hear the fridge running... AHHHH! :) Saturday night after the boys finished golfing we all went on a triple date to Macaroni Grill. The food was amazing, the fellowship was awesome and the laughs were great! After dinner we headed to the Saturday night event of the reunion. I stupidly wore heels. I am not really sure what I was thinking. My feet were killing me after 40 minutes, so I had to take sabbatical breaks between conversations. I was able to talk to pretty much everyone that was there... it was so good to see everyone. And you know those stories about how there's always a fat person that was skinny in high school? Not a one there. I mean, seriously, at (almost) 33 weeks pregnant, I felt like the biggest one in the room!

Some of the boys from our class-- so good to see these fellas!

We didn't leave the Saturday night event until well after 11pm, so I was tired, crampy and my feet were probably swollen (I never checked) from being in heels and standing practically the entire evening. We went to bed as soon as we got home, and slept in until about 9:30 (our friends kids stayed at her parents house so we were ALL able to sleep in!). After we ate breakfast, we packed up and headed back home.

Brayden stayed with my Aunt and Uncle all weekend, and as always, did smashingly well! This time when I saw him for the first time, he wanted me to hold him and he gave me a kiss :) Make my momma heart melt! He was wiped out, and slept in until close to 8am this morning. I am so exhausted that i don't have much energy to do everything on my to-do list for today, so I am just taking it easy. We are gearing up for my sister's wedding... it's t minus two weeks away and we are SO excited! I'm just praying I fit in my bridesmaids dress, otherwise I'll be the one in the brown toga :) Hope everyone has a great week!
