HEEEEERRREE'S FRIDAY!

For some strange reason I had the "HEEEERE'S Johnny" in my head this morning, so that's all I could think of when I thought- it's Friday! Whoooo Hooo! Ofcourse, Brayden still is running a fever, allbeit a low grade one. So I guess we're stuck in the house for day two. Thankfully he's atleast in a better mood, running from room to room, talking up a storm (about what I have no idea since it's mostly gibberish), and drinking 3 glasses of milk so far this morning. My boy is back! Drew and I hate it when he's sick, but love it when he's sick. We hate seeing him not feeling well, but at the same time, we get lots of snuggles and hugs, which is a rarity in this house from the boy who never quits moving. I always laugh when I read about my friends who can sit and watch an entire movie with their 18 month old, or just lay on the couch and snuggle... I don't think I've ever gotten that from Brayden. He's very non-affectionate, which really doesn't bother me that much considering I am very much the same way. But I am secretly hoping that the baby boy in my tummy is a snuggler, just so I can enjoy that side of motherhood! All that aside, I am hoping that as the day progresses he snaps out of this fever once and for all and we're able to enjoy our weekend. The weather is beautiful and we're going to attempt to do a fall photoshoot with Brayden, hit up a local festival and hopefully attend a birthday party if his fever breaks early enough today. It's also a big weekend because Brayden moves to his "big boy" room this weekend. I'm nervous how he'll transition, although he's not really been a baby who's scared of change, so I don't really know WHY I am nervous. It's probably more my insides saying "oh crap... this is really happening. We're really about to have 2 kids!" LOL. I figured I'd join in as always on Mama M.'s 5QF... hope everyone has a great weekend, and hopefully I'll be sharing some awesome pictures of my boy next week!

1. Did you have a pen pal when you were little (or now)? Where were/are they from?
I did have a pen pal, but for the life of me, I can't remember where she was from. I don't think we wrote for long. I don't have a pen pal per se, but I have met a lot of people through blogging that I have never met in real life, and we tend to email back and forth. Does that count?
2. If you could do a different job for one day, what would it be?
I'd love to be able to do my husband's job for a day. Not because I love it or anything, but I always think it's good to gain perspective on what your spouse does so that you don't complain as much about things that are beyond their control.
3. Do you remember your biggest fear from when you were little?
Yes. Whitewater. Canoes. And a combination of the two. FREAK. ME. OUT. To this day actually. But that was my greatest fear when I was young. If you want to read why I was so afraid, you can read the entire story here.
4. What do you think is a waste of time? Why?
Trying to explain things to people who just don't care. Ever heard of throwing pearls before swine? Yeah, it's a waste of time. I have plenty others too, but that's what came to mind first.
5. What is the oldest item you have in your closet?
Considering we just had a garage sale and wiped our house clean of stuff we hadn't used in a year or more, there's not a whole lot of old stuff. Probably the suit I had when I was a "career woman," which I haven't worn in 5 years, but that Drew didn't want to give to goodwill, so it still sits in my closet. Pretty sure even if I needed a suit again, I'd go and buy a new one... it's WAY out of date by now!
