Insta-Friday.

life rearranged Somehow the speed of the end of summer has gotten the best of me and I have not had the time to sit down and blog deep thoughts or take pretty pictures. I am, however, in love with the fact that my phone is now always at my ready if I need to snap a quick memory. This is our week in phone pics (I'm adollopofmylife on Instagram if you want to follow along).

last Friday, Brayden realized that I can take forward facing pictures on my camera. So we sat on the couch and took pictures of ourselves. I should have video taped his laughter after each shot. He loves being silly. Lucky for him, so do I ;)

Drew and I snuck in a date last Friday night. The food was good, and being able to sit and talk to Drew uninterrupted was even better.
His life is so hard.
his life is rough, y'all.
I don't know who's more excited about new markers... Me or the boys.
we got new markers. I'm still not sure who was more excited... me or the kids. I have a weird thing for new school supplies.
Ironman and the Hulk, by Brayden.
Drawn by Brayden. An egg with legs, and a baby in its belly kicking it.
Brayden drew several pictures with our new markers. My faves are these two. The first one, Ironman (in red) and the Hulk (in green). And above, B told me he was going to draw an egg. Who was happy. And that had legs, with a baby in its belly that was kicking its side. HILARIOUS.

the boys have been OBSESSED with catching grasshoppers this summer. This was one of the friends we found this week.
I have a little perfectionist onto hands, which means that cutting practice brings about lots of discussions about trying our best, even if it means it doesn't look like moms.
Brayden has unfortunately taken after me, and carries a bit of OCD in his blood. We've been working on pre-K worksheets the past two weeks to gear up for MDO kicking off later this month. On this particular morning, we were struggling with scissor exercises. We had to have a little talk about perseverance and not quitting when things get hard. He kept saying "My hand is SO SO tired....."
It's a baby-wearing kind of afternoon.
I've had to wear Tyler a lot this week. Baby boy has had a few rough days, and wearing him seems to be the best solution for everyone involved.
He's pretty much a shoe-in for the class clown title.
and last, but definitely not least. This boy. I'm almost positive that he's a shoe-in for class clown. His sense of humor amazes me.

Hopefully I will get my groove back with blogging soon. Until then, hope everyone has a great weekend!
