Hello Sunshine!

It's been 3 weeks since I've been back home from Baton Rouge. 3 weeks. And I seriously think there's been 1 day that wasn't gloomy, filled with musky air and fresh rain drops settling on the dying blades of grass. That is, until today. For the first time in 3 weeks, I was able to open the curtains in B's room and not actually turn on the light as well. My dog celebrated the occasion by sitting in the lawn for 30 minutes, rolling around in the dying grass, and happily panting. While the air is a lot more crisp and cool than an average October day here, we are enjoying it nonetheless. Today I brought Brayden in for his 6 month well-check. I enjoyed the scenery as I traveled down the interstate, which is painted with reds, yellows and oranges from all of the maples changing colors. I truly love fall... my favorite season by far!

Mr. B is growing, growing, although I have seen a slight slow down in jumps. Today he weighed 18lbs 14oz, and was 27.4 inches long. The pediatrician we saw today was the original one we had picked out when Brayden was born, but due to insurance obstacles, we had been going to a different doctor north of us. Praise the Lord we were able to change back! The staff at the original office is amazing, and Dr. D is quite possibly the best pediatrician EVER. He addresses EVERYTHING like he's talking to my son. VERY interactive, really shows that he LOVES children. Oh my goodness, do you know how it feels to absolutely LOVE your child's doctor? It's the best feeling in the world. Due to our insurance only covering illness/injury right now, we'll be getting 6 month shots on Monday at the County. Joy, Joy. Dr. D really wants B to get the flu and swine flu vaccine. Drew and I had talked before and both decided we would not get it for any of us, but man, Dr D really talked about it today in a way that made me question my own decision. I imagine we'll do some more praying this weekend to make sure we've made the right choice in choosing to opt out of those 2 vaccines.

This weekend is a break in between busy ones, so we are grateful. We are going to try to take B to take some fall pictures (as if the pumpkin patch ones were not enough), as well as watch the Hogs play against Florida. All I am asking is that it not be a blow out. The probability of us winning against #1 isn't that great, but at least don't get humiliated guys. Enjoy the fall yall :)
