Birthdays, The Lake & BBQ.

I'm playing major blog catch up this week, so bear with me as I try to sort through the bajillion pictures I took. Thankfully I actually took pictures so I could recall what we did... even though Memorial day weekend was only 1 week ago I am already fuzzy on details because we crammed a ton in 3 days.

Saturday we celebrated the 3rd birthday of one of Brayden's very best friends, Avery. The party was at a local park, which Brayden and Connor both LOVED.

Saturday evening we decided to lay low, considering we had a packed day on Sunday ahead.

Sunday we served at church, and then left after serving to meet up with our friends Stacy & Orrin at the lake. The weather this time was GORGEOUS (last time it was kind of rainy)... pretty much picture perfect, other than some strong winds. We tubed a bit, but mainly just docked down and hung out in coves to swim. I was kind of nervous about going to the lake during what is normally naptime, but both boys surprised me and actually fell asleep on the boat. I didn't take many pictures since I was holding a sleeping Connor most of the boat ride. I also was stupid and didn't put sunblock on until about 3 hours after being on the water... big mistake that I payed for in the form of a nasty, nasty sunburn :(

We left the lake Sunday afternoon and went straight to a Memorial Day bbq later that evening. Brayden was so happy to just stay in his swim suit from the lake and go straight to the wading pool and slip-n-slide at his friend Jack's house. These slip-n-slide pics are hilarious to me... the dads were literally tossing the kids.

Sunday night my mom, sisters and niece came in for a week long visit... we actually ended up getting right behind them on the interstate on our way home from the bbq. More to come on our actual memorial day festivities later :)
