Memorial Day.

We headed into Memorial Day pretty pooped from the weekend. Despite our fatigue, we were determined to make sure that the actual day of Memorial Day would be a good one.

My Uncle and his family came over to help with the festivities. Drew manned the grill, making kabobs and grilled chicken breast. My Aunt Kelly and cousin Sarah made potato salad, and we completed the meal with a green salad and finished everything off with two yummy desserts. We were stuffed!

Zoe didn't get to eat the yummies, but she's still a cutie!

Zoe was a fan of Uncle Paul, wouldn't you say? :)
After we let our meal settle, we enjoyed the nice weather for a bit. The kids all filled water balloons up and bounced on the trampoline with water balloons. This was my first experience with this-- it seemed like they had a blast.

After all of the balloons were gone they got a little crazy and pulled out the sprinkler :)

And what's a holiday without some silly faces with Aunt Laura?

I'm so grateful for the men and women who have laid down their lives for us so that we can enjoy freedom!
