A Few Thoughts

Considering our week/weekend has been either spent with friends/family or the pool, there are few things to write about. And in an attempt to not write a 50 word facebook status, I figured I'd just write a short blog highlighting some of the fun things that have happened this week.
  • Brayden and Connor officially take a bath together now. This is great because it eliminates the need for two baths, which is like a time eater. This is also not so great because they both think it's HILARIOUS when they both splash. Last night I could not control it, and it ended up looking as though a water hose was turned on INSIDE of the bathroom. lovely. On a good note though, Connor thinks it's awesome, and laughs pretty much the whole time (especially when Brayden makes farting noses with the bath toys-- BOYS!).
  • Brayden now calls Chick-Fil-A "chicken-fila-aaya". He's obsessed, as he should be since it's the best fast food around town. Generally when we pass by the restaurant he'll say "Momma, I want to eat and play at Chicken-fila-aya". LOL.
  • Brayden is officially over any hesitancy he had with the floaties at the pool. our pool is zero entry, which is SO nice for numerous reasons. One of the funniest things is that B will back up to the fence and then say "OK, 1,2,3 ready GO!" and starts RUNNING into the pool. Then he'll fall, and say "oh no, I FALLED!" His fave thing to do is to lunge head first into the water. This is great when he has his floaties on. But on Friday I FORGOT his floaties and attempted to do the pool anyways. Bad idea. Pretty sure he thought he could still do all his tricks without floaties, so I had to pull him out from under the water about, oh, 15 times. It was EXHAUSTING!
  • Brayden is REALLY into peeing on the fence or in the yard. Earlier this week he was playing outside and ran to the door trying to pull off his diaper. I asked him what he was doing and he said "I need to poop in da grass." LOVELY.
  • Brayden now prays for THINGS in addition to people. I love hearing his prayers, as they are so innocent (and funny). Some of the funny things he's thanked God for this week: his beach ball, the sand, the moon, and his toes.
And that's about all. I probably won't do a weekend in review this weekend because we seriously have been at the pool or in our pjs all weekend. I know, we live an exciting life. But I am loving the pool, and loving watching my little water boys fall in love with the water. Hope yall have a good week!
