Tried & True: Recipes We've Loved from Pinterest.

Well, it's official. I've been bitten by the Pinterest bug. I actually don't waste near as much time as I thought I would with it, and it's been very helpful in not only organizing ideas for our new house, but also adding a little diversity when it comes to our nightly meals. I thought I'd share some of our faves (and not so faves).

Crockpot Jambalaya: Two Thumbs Up.

This was a fave among all peeps in our household. Even a neighbor was invited over for a bite, and he too liked it. Definitely going to make this again.

Cream Cheese Chicken Chili: Neutral

This was just OK. Drew actually told me that our house smelled bad when he came home, but it tasted ok. It wasn't a very good consistency. I think with some tweaking it could be a good recipe, but I'm not sure I want to put the effort into figuring those tweaks out.

Dr Pepper Slow Cooker Roast: Thumbs Down

You'd think that with my obsession with Dr Pepper this would have been a knock out. Unfortunately this roast was extremely dry, and it was kind of bland. I even put more salt than it called for. I think I'll stick with our normal recipe for my roasts from now on.

Cafe Rio Chicken: Two Thumbs Up

We all loved this. I served it in whole wheat tortillas and served chips and salsa on the side. Definitely a keeper.

Crockpot Chicken and Dumplings: Two Thumbs Up.

Drew actually got sick the day I made this, and it worked perfectly in the place of chicken noodle soup. Both of the boys liked this too. It's a keeper, although I'm sure we probably won't eat it anytime soon, considering we don't usually eat soups in the summer.

Stuffed Taco Pasta Shells: Two Thumbs WAY up.

If reaction is an indicator, this recipe was probably the family fave out of everything I've tried so far. It was an easy recipe, although stuffing the shells got a bit messy. It was DELICIOUS though!

Have you found any good recipes off of Pinterest lately?
