Can you believe this little guy is 10 months old? I sure can't. Well, actually I can, as his need for independence, growing curiosity and strong-willed stubborn nature grow immeasurably every day. He's feeling a bit under the weather (no pun intended, as we have 4 inches of snow currently on the ground) today, so I put a picture up that I took on our final day in Baton Rouge. Brayden certainly is a happy guy and has brought so much joy to our lives. He also has brought that good sand paper-- you know, the kind God uses to show you your weaknesses and uses it to help develop you into a better person? Yes, B is my sandpaper, and I love him for it. What a precious little gift God has given us! So here is what B-man is up to these days:
- pulls up to a standing position next to anything he can get a hold of. He'll also let go and catch on to something else... still not cruising the furniture yet though.
- He can open up cabinets... handle or no handle. We'll be installing a latch on some of the kitchen cabinets later this week.
- He LOVES grilled cheese, mac and cheese and green beans. I think those are his faves. Ofcourse, any fruit is a definite MUST, and he loves yogurt too. One weird thing is that he doesn't really like lunch meat unless it's on his grilled cheese. I think he has a thing about textures, like his Momma.
- Says "Dada", "Baba" and a version of "Gigi". He says "Momma" but generally only when he's REALLY fussy and I am not paying attention to him.
- Gives kisses.
- Smacks his lips together like a kiss.
- Clucks his tongue.
- Says "Mmmmmm" when he is ready to eat.
- He's starting to call the Hogs! It's still hit or miss but he will definitely do it.
- Flirts with women-- no, seriously. The kid will make this scrunchy smile face, and then suck in air really hard. It's hilarious!
- Takes 2 naps a day, generally atleast an hour and a half long, but sometimes longer if he's pooped.
- Waves bye-bye and gives high fives.
- LOVES when Daddy comes home from work... he will kick his legs and flail his arms endlessly until Drew gets in the door (we usually watch as he pulls in the driveway). It melts my heart!
- Is officially weaned. We have about 2 more weeks left of breast milk and then we're on formula for the next two months. I don't regret the decision one bit!
