This week at i ♥ faces they are doing an "off" week featuring places we love. There are a ton of places I love, but some of the top ones are:
The University of Arkansas: My Alma Mater. I love the campus, and being there takes me back to when Drew and I were young and dating. In fact, on the other side of the building that is in the picture (known as Old Main to us U of A folks) is where Drew held my hand for the first time. {smile}.
South Beach Miami. Some don't like it because they say it's too commercialized or too vane. I LOVED it.
More south beach.
Separating the road/hotel lines from south beach is a path. In between the path and beach are dunes, and they have these cute little walkways that cut through. I loved them!
Saphire Beach, St. Thomas, USVI. When Drew and I stepped out of our tour bus at this beach, we literally had our breath taken away. If Heaven is on earth, this has to be it!
St. Martin... while not as pretty as St. Thomas, it still ranks as one of my favorite places of all time! This was taken at Orient Beach.
And on a more serious note, Haiti. In 10th grade I visited the country on a church missions trip and returned home a changed person. I learned that our attitude should not be based on our earthly possessions but on what we have inside. The people of Haiti are BY FAR some of the most joyous people I have ever encountered, despite their dire living conditions.
