funny story: my mom got this boutonniere at a conference she went to before we got to Baton Rouge. She kept saying how pretty it was and how it hadn't withered, etc. Then, 2 days before I left, she pulled it out again to show my sister Megan. Meg asked if it was fake, and my mom said "I don't think so." Then Meg and I got in for a closer look, and sure enough, mom's amazingly resilient boutonniere was FAKE. We all got a good laugh, and I snapped a picture of mom holding her beloved FAKE flower. Ha!
