When I was little, my entire family would pack into our van during the week of Christmas, and travel all across Baton Rouge looking at Christmas lights. Usually mom would blare the Carpenter's Christmas CD, and we'd all dance to the songs as we oooh'ed and ahhh'ed at the lights. I really want to continue this tradition with the boys, so last week we headed out to a local neighborhood to look at the lights. We actually went to this particular neighborhood because there is a man that goes ALL OUT for his light display. It has more than 80,000 lights and you tune into a radio station to hear the music that the lights are programmed to. It was incredible, and Brayden LOVED it. We sat there and watched for about 20 minutes, and then drove through the rest of the neighborhood to look at some of the other houses. Brayden really enjoyed the entire experience, pointing out different things (like "balls"--snowflakes--, choo-choo's, and baby Jesus and Santa). For some odd reason, I cannot upload the video from the lights, so here's two pictures we took on the way there...
