- A DOLLOP OF PROFILES: I am wanting to start a weekly profile spotlight of my readers. It will just be a couple of questions similar to those that you see in the profiles section of the newspaper. I want to include a picture of the profiled person (that sounds kind of like prison, which I assure you this will not be like! Not that I know what prison is like, but you get the idea). Are you interested? I hope so! Email me at lifesdollop(at)gmail(dot)com for more info or to let me know you're in!
- A FEW GOOD DAYS: Despite the fact that I feel as though I have run a marathon, the last two days have been relatively good with both boys. B has been really sweet. Yesterday morning he looked at me before we hopped out of bed (he had crawled into bed with me at 6:30), and said "I need a hug momma!" And reached out his arms to give me a hug. Melt my momma heart! Mind you, he still has his 2.5 year old melt downs, but there are glimpses of hope.
- TWO YEAR OLD GRAMMAR. B has what I call 2 year old grammar. This morning he was yelling from the living room: "Momma, where are me?!" I asked where he was and replied "There me are momma!" Oh I have to bite my cheek to keep from laughing. It doesn't bother me at all, in fact, it's a little endearing. And I always say back to him the correct way, just as I would normally talk to him, that way someday it will set in.
1. Do you prefer your ice cream in a bowl or in a cone?
Bowl. Although, I don't mind a cone, especially if it's a Dairy Queen dipped cone... YUMMM.
2. What three things do you love the smell of?
Cologne. Most kinds. Especially if Drew's wearing it :)
Mexican Food. I know that seems so weird, but it smells awesome.
Lemon cleaning product. I know this sounds weird, but there's nothing better than the smell of a clean bathroom or clean floors. And yes, I know that now you all think I am weird. I'm ok with that.
3. Giftcards or no? (In regards to gift giving...)
I love them. I love to receive them and I love to give them. I think it's so much better than those gifts that you open up and think "what the crap am I going to do with THAT?!" I can pick out what I want, the person that bought it can rest easy that it won't just get wasted on some bill we have (which we don't do anyway if we get cash, but I know some people do).
4. What sports did you play in high school if any and do you still play them?
I played basketball for 2 weeks. And sucked. No, seriously. I couldn't keep up with the drills. I stuck with softball. My first love. And I really did love it. Sadly, I haven't played in quite a while. Since I've had kids actually. But I plan on playing again once I am out of the dirty diapers and 7pm bedtime phase.
5. Were you in band in high school? What instrument did you play?
Nope.Nada. I can play 1 song on the piano. I took lessons from my grandma Laura a long time ago, and for some reason my parents let me convince them that I had had enough music learning from her to qualify for not taking ANYTHING after we moved from Baton Rouge. So I am the non-musical one in the family. I'm ok with it though :)
